The Bill Fleeman Gentlemen of Distinction Gala is an annual fundraising event benefiting families served through Hope Cancer Resources. The gala includes our renowned men’s fashion show featuring local gentlemen, a silent auction and the presentation of the Bill Fleeman Gentleman of Distinction Award given to a Northwest Arkansas gentleman who has made a difference in the treatment and/or support of cancer patients in our community.

The Regional National Cemetery Improvement Corporation (RNCIC) is holding its 10th annual Veteran’s Memorial 5K race on Saturday, November 10, 2018, beginning at 8 am, at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, 700 S Government Blvd. The race will be an exciting event for runners and spectators alike. Sponsors will provide shirts and goodie bags to all runners. Awards and prizes will be presented to the top overall male and female runners and to the top three male and female runners in each age group. Hop aboard a musical time machine to hear the syncopated classics of Scott Joplin brought back to life by the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra! Peacherine, “the premier American ragtime ensemble” as hailed by The Washington Post, celebrates the King of Ragtime and his stirring instrumental favorites, all played from the original historic orchestral scores. Although you may not know the name Scott Joplin by heart, you’ve heard his classic melodies everywhere - from the soundtrack to the 1973 Academy Award winning film The Sting, to the tunes played by the ice cream truck! Conductor Andrew Greene and the 11 piece Peacherine Orchestra celebrate Joplin’s hits including The Maple Leaf Rag, The Entertainer (the theme from “The Sting”) and much more! Musical fun for the whole family!
