The Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra (APO) was founded in 2008 by a group of music lovers and musicians to provide professional performance opportunities for local musicians, educational concerts for young people, and an after school string program. The APO will celebrate its 10th anniversary beginning on September 29 with Halloween Fantasia.

Prior to the season kickoff, APO will host a limited seating "An Evening with the Maestro." The event will take place on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at one of NWA's finest establishments.

Maestro Steven Byess will exquisitely pair music and wine with a four course meal accompanied by the APO String Quartet. Join us for an exciting evening for all of your senses. These dinners sell out quickly so don't delay in purchasing today. $125 per person.

Tinkerfest, a one-day festival that celebrates the creative, curious, and innovative spirit in all of us, returns to Northwest Arkansas on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 9 am until 4 pm. The 2018 event will be held at the Scott Family Amazeum and is included with your paid admission or your membership.

Each year, the Amazeum brings together makers, artists, tinkerers, craftspeople, educators, and creatives to showcase their work while inviting families to join in the DIY (do it yourself) fun and learn from each other. Whether a beginner or an avid tinkerer, Tinkerfest is a great family activity where all can experiment and learn things together. Ages 4-104 will find a tinkering experience to explore.

Returning to Tinkerfest this year is the popular car take apart activity. Other activity stations include 3D printing, technology dissection and upcycling, and interactive activities created by students at regional schools. ...

On October 20, 2018, tens of thousands of people will gather all over the world for a fundraising and awareness event called #WalkForFreedom. Walks will take place in hundreds of cities across dozens of nations. This event is operated by a global anti-human trafficking organization, A21. The purpose of the walk is to raise awareness about the millions of men, women and children who are still trapped in slavery today. By fundraising and rallying thousands of people around the cause, the belief is that this event will be the catalyst for the rescue and restoration of human beings who are being exploited.
