Background Information

NWA Marine Corps League Detachment #854 meetings are held the third Monday of the month at 6:30 pm., at the American Legion Post #341, 1885 Bella Vista Way, in Bella Vista, Ark.

By being a member of the League, active duty and former Marines, Fleet Marine Force Corpsmen, and auxiliary members strengthen ties with fellow Marines and provide a place where members can talk about their experiences with people who understand. The League interacts with the local community through volunteering with the local Veterans Administration, providing assistance for homeless veterans, input on legislation action, and funding for emergency relief; and assisting with the annual Toys for Tots.

Members of the Marine Corps League join for the purpose of preserving traditions and promoting the interests of the United States Marine Corps; banding together those who are currently serving and those who have been honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps. It aids and assists all active duty and former Marines, FMF Corpsmen, and their widows and orphans. The League promotes the ideals of American freedom and democracy, perpetuating United States Marine Corps history and observing anniversaries of historical occasions that are of particular interest to Marines.
